Vibration in reverse

Hello i have L701 automatic and when i go reverse i have vibration inside a car. What i must change?

This car has a 3-cylinder-engine and as alwas on (older) Petrol engines, the idle can slightly vary, since it is not as fastly adjusted as on diesel engines.

If that doesn't vibrate, the engine is not on.

Do you have a Rev-counter? What does it indicate?

In advance:

There is two things at least, what you could do:

If the engine idles too low, you can say, that it is probable that the idle controller has a problem. That sometimes happens due to its age, and sometimes because some engine oil is sucked into the inlet through the valvetrain housings vent or the crankshafts vent and that clogs up the idle controller

If it is just vibrations, that may be because the engine mounts vibration dampers are aged or worn out.

As long as the engine stays on when it should be on in Idle, no of those two possibilities is really urgent to fix.

Since it is an automatic transmission, you should consider a change of the ATF regularly. I can't remember the interval for that. To change ATF regularly prolongs the lifetime of the transmisson and helps it to work as intended.

Have you checked the oil level of the engine? The other elementary thing about long term reliability of just about any car...

He explained that the vehicle vibrates only in reverse. This seems like slippage band is the symptom. Since you are going to change the fluid, I would also replace the filter.
Make sure to examine the old fluid and filter for debris. Grey matter is normal to find. But, not an excessive amount. If you see metal shavings, this would be a cause for concern. Nevertheless, if the transmission ceases to vibrate with the new fluid and filter, then it'll be fine

The automatic gear filter cost?

Bauer_Sucht_Sau 11.01.2020 10:39

That's a good question. The only one I could find in the internet would be shipped from Australia. The shipment alone costs more than the filter itself.
Which country are you residing in? Greece or Cyprus?

As far as I know, one would have to open the transmission to change its filter. At least my Cuore L251 didn't have a possibility for fast and simple change of the ATF-filter. Wouldn't want to do that just out of a suspicion.

In the best case, it is as simple as a loose Screw on one of the Transmissions mounting points. Unfortunately I don't remember on what car model I heard of such a cause for vibrations. Was it the Materia? It wasn't the cuore.

Maybe is the front mount engine.
Filter for auto transmission where i can buy one?

Bauer_Sucht_Sau 14.01.2020 09:34

There were 22 Daihatsu dealerships in Greece. Some of them are likely to still service Daihatsus.
One used to be located in Volos. The name and adress:
K.N. Kotinopoulos
Agria
(0421) 92938
Paying them a visit is much easier than to attempt finding a filter through the internet

I know the person but tell me not tobreplace the filter because it cost 100euro and oil 50 and he want for him 50euros.Total 200euros.I think its to expensive for me.
