when this shit happened to me my local dealer tried to get a warranty via Daihatsu Germany directly but they refused it. Only after I contacted them directly and could proove that this case occured after a clear material fault they accepted to take over the whole mess.
But only after I claimed directly and strict.
In the meantime things might have changed, my case was in May 2009, maybe they realized this this bullshit is a serial fault?
To know about that replacing those damaged oil tubes is a claimable case in other countries is very well and gives us some hard ammo in case of need.
